Ethan snowboarding

Check out the video my dad posted of Ethan on one of his runs down "the big hill". He wipes out at the bottom, but looks pretty good until then. I talked to him this morning, and he said the only downside of this trip was that he wished he could've stayed a bit longer. Today they are traveling around the world to get home, because we saved about $200/each by taking random flights. So, they left Boise, flew to Seattle, then to Detroit, then on to Nashville. It will be a long weary day, but in my book prob worth the money it saved.

Ethan and Gerry's Excellent Adventure

My dad has begun posting some pics of his and Ethan's adventures in Boise. They had a snowboarding lesson today, and E seems to be loving it. My sister, Lynn, has been sick with strep throat all last week and early this week, along with having an infant with an ear infection, so I was SO glad to see that she was feeling better and got to get in on the fun today. God is so good.

More reformed than Scott

You scored as Reformed Evangelical. You are a Reformed Evangelical. You take the Bible very seriously because it is God's Word. You most likely hold to TULIP and are sceptical about the possibilities of universal atonement or resistible grace. The most important thing the Church can do is make sure people hear how they can go to heaven when they die.

But I have to agree. . .more fun than accurate. There were SO many statements which needed to be qualified.

A Great Football Moment

"I'm proud to represent African-American coaches, to be the first African-American coach to win this," Dungy said. "But more than anything, Lovie Smith and I aren't just the first African-American coaches, but Christian coaches showing you can win doing it the Lord's way. And we're more proud of that."

--Tony Dungy, on live tv following his superbowl win

Per Sam's request. . .

DSC_0084_2.JPG

Sam actually said to me, "Hey, Mom! If I run out in the snow in my underwear, will you take my picture and put it on your blog??" It was a bit amusing to me to realize that my kids think this way, meaning that when they want to show off, they think of the blog. It's the era they are growing up in. It still cracks me up to watch Noah (our 4 yr old) navigate the laptop touchpad like it's a natural thing to do. And when he sees me pick up a blank dvd, he'll ask, "Watcha burnin', Mom?" Amuses me every time.
