Poor name choice

I discovered a new show tonight. Mark Harmon caught my eye on the screen as I flipped channels. Really, what caught my attention was, "Oh my gosh. Was that a really old Mark Harmon?" I've always been a Mark Harmon fan. . .what can I say? Stealing Home won me over. Anyway, I watched the last 15 minutes of the show, and realized it was a show I might enjoy. I flipped over to the tvguide channel to see what it was called, and realized that I have passed it over many times, confusing it with another show. The name of the show is NCIS, and every time I've glanced at it, I've dismissed it as yet another version of CSI. New York, Miami, whatever. Anyway, it just seems to me that when naming a new series, you would make an effort to distinguish it from other series. Perhaps they wanted people to confuse it and "accidentally" watch it. I don't know. But I may continue to check it out. Though I'm still enjoying Lost and Boston Legal, and have added The Nine to my television repertoire, I have yet to find anything to replace the adrenaline of Alias. (Not that Alias was very adrenaline producing during the last prego season. . .) So now it's winter, it's rainy, and I miss adrenaline, a rare commodity in my line of work. I suppose if I get desperate I can give 24 another try, but so far it just hasn't floated my boat. It's a little predictible, not multifaceted and intriguing enough for me. . .at least the season of it that I watched. Oh well. Tonight is funny night. Boston Legal. Denny Crane. Lock 'N Load.

Lynn and I laugh everytime The Nine starts right after Lost. The acting is sooo bad. We have to turn it off right away or else we get sucked into it because it is so bad. It will probably last longer than 'Invasion' did, but not by much.

Really? I like it. I wouldn't rank it up there with Lost and Alias (s1n2), but it's an intriguing concept and I don't think the acting is that bad. I think Timothy Daly is an aquired taste. He tends to come across as melodramatic, but I like him. He did a show last year that only lasted a few eps but Stephen and I both liked it, called Eyes. It was like the old private eye shows of the 70s. . .magnum type. But apparently we were the only ones who thought so. We'll see. But i think the Nine has a lot more staying power than the Invasion for sure.
