Television drivel

Haven't done an Alias entry in a while, and it seems it's time. The inevitible became official last night, as the tag line that went with previews was "Alias is going out with a bang. Last episodes coming soon."

Obviously, this did not come as a great shock to me. I had known (yea, and even hoped a bit) that this would be Alias' last season. So here are my hopes for the last episodes:
-MORE IRINA! I was so pumped. She was not listed in the TVGuide guest star credits, and I never saw it coming. I hope she will finish out the season, but I will be shocked if she does.
-I hope they cater to those of us who have stuck it out for five straight years and just give us what we want for the rest of the season. Basically, Irina MUST turn out to be good. She can be bad for the right motives, of course, but ultimately she loves Sydney and has done everything to protect her. Jack and Irina need at least one more toaster scene. MORE SARK. If we can't have Vaughn back, at least give us Will. But no more Francie. If she comes back again, I will be traumatized. MORE SARK. And we still need some answers: Vaughn's dad's watch? It can't be nothing. Rimbaldi's dna. Where did it go? And Sydney's stolen eggs? What was up with all that? Is Sark Irina's son? If not, couldn't we get just one Sarkney kiss before the series ends??
-Bring Weiss back, at least for the finale. He would want to see the baby, and it seems only right for him to be there at the end.
-Leave Sloan ambiguous. I really don't want to know if Sloan is ultimately bad or good. I think he is both, and that is what makes him such a great character. I don't want to see them completely resolve his character.
-Just for fun, I'd like to see the following scenario: Irina had an affair with Vaughn's dad. The result was, of course, Sark, making him *drumroll* Uncle Sark!! On both sides! Ha! 'rooby dooby doo!

And now for some LOST drivel:

WOULD YOU PUSH THE BUTTON?? It's driving me crazy. I think it's one of the more brilliant tv scenarios I've seen. It's so simple. But terribly complex. It is driving me crazy that they keep pushing the button. I would not push it. At least I don't think I would. I think I would figure we had nothing much to lose at this point, and there is no way I'm going to focus my life on pushing a button over and over when I don't even know WHY!!! It's a really great idea. All sorts of philosophical munchies to be had.
